Abstract | This article examines the transformative role of Critical and Emerging Technologies (CETs) instrengthening U.S. national security and maintaining global technological leadership. The article exploreshow strategic investments in artificial intelligence, quantum computing, and biotechnology haverevolutionized defense capabilities and cybersecurity infrastructure. The United States has significantlyenhanced its domestic semiconductor manufacturing capabilities and reduced foreign dependencies byimplementing the CHIPS Act and various innovation initiatives. The article further evaluates internationalcollaboration frameworks and allied partnerships that have strengthened collective technologicaladvancement. The article highlights the importance of strategic investment priorities and risk mitigationstrategies in maintaining technological superiority while addressing emerging security challenges in anincreasingly complex global environment. |
