Privacy and Security in Cloud-Based Banking: A Technical Perspective

Abstract This comprehensive technical article explores the multifaceted challenges and solutions for privacy andsecurity in cloud-based banking environments. As financial institutions accelerate their digitaltransformation initiatives, they face the dual imperative of delivering innovative customer experienceswhile maintaining robust security controls and regulatory compliance. The paper examines the evolvingthreat landscape facing banking organizations, including advanced persistent threats, distributed denial ofservice attacks, supply chain vulnerabilities, and insider threats. It presents detailed technicalimplementations of privacy by design principles, including data minimization architectures, advancedencryption techniques, secure API architectures, and zero-trust security frameworks. The article furtherexplores network segmentation strategies, regulatory compliance technologies, incident responsecapabilities, resilience engineering methodologies, and ethical security implementations.
