Abstract | The integration of IoT (Internet of Things) and Big Data in irrigation automation and yield optimization is transforming modern agriculture by enabling precision farming. IoT-powered smart sensors monitor real-time soil moisture, temperature, humidity, and weather conditions, ensuring optimal water usage. These sensors transmit data to cloud-based platforms, where Big Data analytics processes vast amounts of information to generate actionable insights. AI-driven algorithms analyze historical patterns and predict irrigation needs, reducing water wastage and improving crop health. By automating irrigation based on real-time data, farmers can enhance yield quality, resource efficiency, and sustainability, leading to higher productivity and lower operational costs. |
